Knob-billed Duck (เป็ดหงส์) 11 at Huai Sanam Bin (LW) and five at Bung Boraphet (CO, BBWRS) on 15 Mar (CO, BBWRS), one at Huai Yang Reservoir, Nakhon Ratchasima, on 18 Mar (SS) and 19 Mar (CS).

Indian Spot-billed Duck (เป็ดเทาพันธุ์อินเดีย) 25 at Wat Pa Dong Kham Sang Pue, Sri Songkhram, Nakhon Panom, on 7 May (WSk).

Northern Pintail (เป็ดหางแหลม) Latest: 8 at Pak Thale on 5 Mar (SLo).

Garganey (เป็ดลาย) 80 at Bung Boraphet on 2 Mar (NL).

Scaly-breasted Partridge (นกกระทาดงแข้งเขียว ) Four at Pran Buri Dam on 9 Mar (TB).

Mrs. Hume’s Pheasant (ไก่ฟ้าหางลายขวาง) Five at Doi Kham Fa, Chiang Mai, on 13 Mar (TH).

Wedge-tailed Shearwater (นกจมูกหลอดหางพลั่ว) A pale morph beached at Mai Ton Beach, Phuket, on 26 May (PLC).

Lesser Adjutant (นกตะกรุม) Nong Pla Lai on 5 Mar (NL) and Ta Phraya NP on 5 May (PKr).

Black-headed Ibis (นกช้อนหอยขาว, นกกุลา) 28 at Bung Boraphet on 2 Mar (NL).

Glossy Ibis (นกช้อนหอยดำเหลือบ) Apart from Bung Boraphet, one was reported at Huai Yang Reservoir, Nakhon Ratchasima, on 18 Mar (SS), 20 at Huai Talad Reservoir, Buriram, 22 Mar (KW), ca. 40 at Rangsit Khlong 12 on 23 Apr (KP), Hat Yai Water Treatment Plant 29 Apr (WL, PSf, SLk), 17 at Royal Thai Air Force Museum, Don Mueang, 6 May (CH), 3 at Lad Krabang 7 May (NA), 20 at Rangsit Khlong 8 on 20 May (NJ).

Indian Pond Heron (นกยางกรอกพันธุ์อินเดีย) Laem Pakarang on 27 Apr (MKs), Lad Krabang 28 Apr (PV), Chulalongkorn University 1 May (PH), along Rama II Road 15 May and Laem Phak Bia Royal Project 17 May (DG).

Chinese Egret (นกยางจีน) Four at Laem Phak Bia Sandspit on 4 Mar (NL); one remained until 28 Mar (MN).

Spot-billed Pelican (นกกระทุง) 35 near Wat Khao Takhrao, Phetchaburi, on 3 Apr (TB).

Christmas Island Frigatebird (นกโจรสลัดเกาะคริสต์มาส) Three presumed this species seen from Ko Man Nai 24 Mar (WB).

Oriental Darter (นกอ้ายงั่ว) Apart from known sites, reports included a flyover Bang Sapan, Prachuap Khiri Khan, on 12 Mar (KCs), Pran Buri Dam8 Apr (TB), and 8 at Wat Pa Dong Kham Sang Pue, Sri Songkhram, Nakhon Panom, 7 May (WSk).

Oriental Honey-buzzard (เหยี่ยวผึ้ง) 13 flew pass Wat Phra That Doi Thap Chang, Prachuap Khiri Khan, on 22 Mar, and 6 pass Hin Lek Fai Hill on 26 Mar (TB).

Black Baza (เหยี่ยวกิ้งก่าสีดำ) Nonbreeding visitors reported throughout winter in the lower central plains singly or in small flocks (WL, NU, SSy). Presumed flocks on passage included ca.100 at Wisai Neau, Chumphon, on 29 Mar (TDl), 70 at Pran Buri Dam 30 Mar (TB), 30 at Khon Kaen University 1 Apr (SK), 72 at Hin Lek Fai Hill 2 Apr (TB), ca.150 at Don Tako, Ratchaburi (GBr) and at least 50 at Charansanitwong 13, Bangkok (TNs) on 6 Apr.

Bat Hawk (เหยี่ยวค้างคาว) Khao Nam Khang NP on 17 Apr (ISa, VV, PCc).

Changeable Hawk Eagle (เหยี่ยวต่างสี) Apart from known sites, singles were recorded at Pran Buri Dam on 8 Mar (TB) and a dark morph at Thung Ya Wang Pra, Thaleban NP, on 8 May (ISa, BD, TW).

Greater Spotted Eagle (นกอินทรีปีกลาย) Two near Pak Thale on 4 Mar, 6 at Nong Pla Lai 5 Mar (NL), and Sanam Bin Reservoir 24 Mar (DS, JV).

Booted Eagle (นกอินทรีเล็ก) Nong Pla Lai on 6 Mar (PV).

Steppe Eagle (นกอินทรีทุ่งหญ้าสเต็ป) Nong Pla Lai on 5 Mar (NL).

Eastern Imperial Eagle (นกอินทรีหัวไหล่ขาว) Nong Pla Lai on 6 Mar (PV).

Bonelli’s Eagle (นกอินทรีแถบปีกดำ) Bung Boraphet on 5 Mar (CSk).

Shikra (เหยี่ยวนกเขาชิครา) At nest at Khon Kaen University on 28 Mar (SK).

Chinese Sparrowhawk (เหยี่ยวนกเขาพันธุ์จีน) Two at Khon Kaen University on 16 Mar (WSm), 75 at Wat Phra That Doi Thap Chang, Prachuap Khiri Khan, 22 Mar (TB), two at Walailak University 24 Mar (PCp), two at Hin Lek Fai Hill (TB) and a male at Kaeng Krachan (WR) on 26 Mar, Ko Samui 29 Mar (PB), Rot Fai Park 1 Apr (SKp), 40 at Hin Lek Fai Hill 2 Apr (TB), and a male at Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan Park 20 Apr (NU).

Japanese Sparrowhawk (เหยี่ยวนกเขาพันธุ์ญี่ปุ่น) 6 at Phutthamonthon on 3 Apr (KA), two on Ko Samae San during 9-11 Apr (WL, MN), Ko Man Nai from 13 Apr onwards (AN, JND, PDR), a male at Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan Park 20 Apr (NU), and a female at Hat Yai Water Treatment Plant 29 Apr (WL).

Eurasian Sparrowhawk (เหยี่ยวนกกระจอกใหญ่) Lamphun on 8 Mar (KS).

Eastern Marsh Harrier (เหยี่ยวทุ่งพันธุ์เอเชียตะวันออก) Latest record: 4 Apr at Wiang Nong Lom, Chiang Rai; three individuals (WL, MN).

Pied Harrier (เหยี่ยวด่างดำขาว) Late records included an immature male at Hat Yai Water Treatment Plant on 29 Apr (WL, BR), and a female at Mae Hia on 1 May (WB).

Black Kite (เหยี่ยวดำ) Single birds photographed at Wat Kao Hong, Bang Ban, Ayuthaya, on 15 Apr (TKb, TTv), and Lad Krabang on 7 May (NA) were among very few recent records in the lower central plains.

Black-eared Kite (เหยี่ยวหูดำ) At least 300 were at Pak Phli on 20 Mar (WL, ISa, AJ/BCST) and a bird in Phetchaburi on 22 Mar (TW). Latest: 8 Apr at Doi Lo (TW).

Grey-faced Buzzard (เหยี่ยวหน้าเทา) The only passage record received was 15 at Hin Lek Fai Hill on 2 Apr (TB).

Red-legged Crake (นกอัญชันป่าขาแดง) Naresuan University on 24 May (MT).

Baillon’s Crake (นกอัญชันเล็ก) Khon Kaen University on 4 Apr (SK, STw) and 15 May (SK).

Eurasian Coot (นกคู้ต) ca. 820 at Bung Boraphet on 2 Mar (NL).

Common Crane (นกกกระเรียนพันธุ์ยุโรป) At least one photographed flying over Khao Yai NP on 1 May (SC).

Indian Thick-knee (นกกระแตผีเล็ก) Three at Pran Buri Dam on 8 Apr (TB).

Crab-plover (นกหัวโตกินปู) A sight record of 8 at Nai Yang Beach, Phuket, on 11 Mar (RJ).

Pied Avocet (นกปากงอน) 8 at Laem Phak Bia on 27 Mar (NU), at least five at Wat Sam Phao, Panat Nikhom, Chon Buri, 30 Mar (CB), and three at Bung Boraphet 4 Apr (CO).

River Lapwing (นกกระแตหาด) ca. 20 nests at Khon Phi Long, Chiang Khong, Chiang Rai, on 1 May (CW).

Grey-headed Lapwing (นกกระแตหัวเทา) Latest: Bangkok on 26 Apr (TKb).

Little Ringed Plover (นกหัวโตเล็กขาเหลือง) A pair feeding a young at Pong Salot, Phetchaburi, on 29 Mar (WL).

Swinhoe’s Plover (นกหัวโตหน้าขาว) Two at Laem Phak Bia Sandspit on 4 Mar (NL).

Lesser Sand Plover (นกหัวโตทรายเล็ก) ca. 2,000 at Pak Thale on 24 Mar (AN). Passage records included 13 along Mekong River in Boong Khla, Bueng Kan, on 5 May (WSk).

Pintail Snipe (นกปากซ่อมหางเข็ม) Latest: 29 Apr at Hat Yai Water Treatment Plant (WL, PSf, SLk).

Common Snipe (นกปากซ่อมหางพัด) Latest: 26 Apr in Bangkok (TKb).

Asian Dowitcher (นกซ่อมทะเลอกแดง) A survey organised by KT on 3 Apr found a total of 800 individuals: 9 at Khok Kham (WTt, STt), 525 at Tha Chalom (SS), four at Bang Khud, Samut Sakhon (VV), 143 at Kalong and 116 at Rangchan (DG), two at Pak Thale (TB), and one at Laem Phak Bia (SM). 16 remained at Khok Kham on 22 May (DG).

Bar-tailed Godwit (นกปากแอ่นหางลาย) ca. 150 at Pak Thale on 4 Mar (NL) was the only sizeable flock.

Far Eastern Curlew (นกอีก๋อยตะโพกสีน้ำตาล) Latest: 19 Mar at Pak Thale; two birds (KA).

Nordmann’s Greenshank (นกทะเลขาเขียวลายจุด) Counts at Laem Phak Bia consisted of 72 on 4 Mar (WN), 71 on 5 Mar (NL), and 10 on 27 Mar (NU). Latest: 6 April at Pak Nam Prasae; one bird (WL, MN).

Green Sandpiper (นกชายเลนเขียว) Records outside common wintering range were singles at Pong Salot, Phetchaburi, on 29 Mar (WL) and Pran Buri Dam on 4 Apr (TB).

Grey-tailed Tattler (นกตีนเหลือง) Two at Pak Nam Prasae on 6 Apr (WL, MN), one on Ko Man Nai during 6-10 May (PDR, AJP), and two at Pak Thale on 20 May (NU).

Great Knot (นกน็อตใหญ่) ca. 150 at Pak Thale on 24 Mar (AN), 6 at Pak Nam Prasae (WL, MN) and ca. 60 at Khok Kham on 6 Apr (WTt).

Spoon-billed Sandpiper (นกชายเลนปากช้อน) At Pak Thale, four on 4 Mar (NL) and one on 27 Mar (NU). At Khok Kham, three on 5 Apr (SD) and one on 6 Apr (WTt).

Small Pratincole (นกแอ่นทุ่งเล็ก) Nesting at Tha Luang, Lop Buri, on 29 Mar (MS, TR).

Slender-billed Gull (นกนางนวลปากเรียว) Latest: 19 Mar at Pak Thale; one bird (KA).

Brown-headed Gull (นกนางนวลธรรมดา) One at Mekong River, Mueang, Bueng Kan, on 21 May (WSk).

Pallas’s Gull (นกนางนวลหัวดำใหญ่) Latest: 28 Mar at Laem Phak Bia Sandspit; two birds (MN).

Gull-billed Tern (นกนางนวลแกลบปากหนา) Passage inland records included at least 15 on Mekong River, Boong Khla, Bueng Kan, on 5 May, and two at Mueang, Bueng Kan, on 21 May (WSk).

Caspian Tern (นกนางนวลแกลบแคสเปียน) A bird along Mekong River in Bueng Kan on 20 Apr (WSk) was almost certainly a passage migrant.

Whiskered Tern (นกนางนวลแกลบเคราขาว) Presumed passage migrants: 6 at Khon Kaen University on 30 Apr (SK), ca. 80 on 3 May down along Mekong River, Boong Khla, down to one bird on 5 May (WSk), three at Mueang, Bueng Kan, on 21 May (WSk).

White-winged Black Tern (นกนางนวลแกลบดำปีกขาว) Presumed passage: two at Khon Kaen University on 30 Apr (SK), at least 20 along Mekong River, Boong Khla, on 5 May (WSk), four at Mueang, Bueng Kan, on 21 May (WSk).

Red Collared Dove (นกเขาไฟ) A bird at Walailak University on 6 May might be a nonbreeding visitor (PCp).

Thick-billed Green Pigeon (นกเขาเปล้าธรรมดา) A dispersing female on Ko Man Nai on 11 May (PDR, AJP).

Yellow-vented Green Pigeon (นกเปล้าหางเข็มหัวปีกแดง) A male at Mahidol University (Kanchanaburi Campus) on 10 May (KI) was new for the locality.

Pied Imperial Pigeon (นกลุมพูขาว) Carried nesting materials on 24 Mar on Ko Tachai (WB).

Chestnut-winged Cuckoo (นกคัคคูหงอน) Presumed non-breeding/passage records outside breeding ranges included single birds at Rangsit Khlong 5 on 3 Mar (WL), Rot Fai Park 16 Mar (PCh), Prachuap Khiri Khan 25 Mar (JW), Khon Kaen University 31 Mar (STw), Phutthamonthon 3 Apr (KA), Thale Noi 4 Apr (VS), Ko Samae San 9 Apr (WL, MN). Ringed on Ko Man Nai from 9 Mar until 9 May (PDR, AJP).

Pied Cuckoo (นกคัคคูขาวดำ) Sighted on Ko Man Nai on 12 May (AJP) and photographed at Pathum Thani on 21 May (DL).

Asian Emerald Cuckoo (นกคัคคูมรกต) Records outside breeding grounds included a male at Ao Manao, Prachuap Khiri Khan on 1 Mar (WA), Chulalongkorn University 2 Mar (SKp), a male at Queen Sirikit Park 30 Mar (WTn) and 3 Apr (SMk).

Asian Drongo Cuckoo (นกคัคคูแซงแซว) First recorded during passage on 5 Apr on Ko Man Nai (AN, JND, PDR). The peaked passage record was a total count of 30 on Ko Samae San during 14-15 Apr (SMk, TTa, VP, MPr, RS, VA). Latest presumed passage dates: Khon Kaen University on 3 May (SK) and Suphan Buri on 4 May (JC).

Large Hawk Cuckoo (นกคัคคูเหยี่ยวใหญ่) Passage dates spanned from 10 Mar until 8 May on Ko Man Nai (AN, JND, PDR, AJP).

Hodgson’s Hawk Cuckoo (นกคัคคูเหยี่ยวอกแดง) Mae Wong on 1 Mar (NL), Ko Samae San 7 Mar (SSc), Doi Suthep (CSw) and Phu Luang WS (SPc) on 16 Mar, Panoen Thung, Kaeng Krachan, 19 Mar (FS), Kaeng Krachan 21 Mar (PB), Doi Pui 31 Mar (AR), Ko Man Nai 4, 7, 15 and 17 Apr (AN, JND, PDR), two on Ko Samae San during 14-15 Apr (SMk, TTa, VP, MPr, RS, VA), Kaeng Krachan 17 Apr (CPp), and Rot Fai Park 12 May (WTn). The last individual at Rot Fai Park was last seen on 19 May (KA).

Lesser Cuckoo (นกคัคคูเล็ก) Doi Inthanon on 16 May (RK) and three singing at Doi Pha Hom Pok on 30 May (DES, PP, ID).

Indian Cuckoo (นกคัคคูพันธุ์อินเดีย) Kaeng Krachan on 9 Mar (WN). Records outside breeding ranges included one on Ko Samae San on 30 Mar (EA), Naresuan University 3 Apr (MT) and 4 Apr (MT, PSt), two on Ko Samae San 6 Apr (AJ, ISa, NC) and during 9-11 Apr (WL, MN), a 1st-year on Ko Man Nai 9 Apr (JND, PDR), and Khon Kaen University during 24-25 Apr (WSm).

Himalayan Cuckoo (นกคัคคูพันธุ์หิมาลัย) Records presumed to be this species included an individual on 1 Mar (JC) and a hepatic-morph female on 3 Mar at Rot Fai Park (KA), Ao Manao, Prachuap Khiri Khan, 3 Mar (WA), Rama IX Park, Bangkok, 6 Mar (WL), four at Kaeng Krachan 9 Mar (NL), two at Rot Fai Park (WTn) and one at Khon Kaen University (SK) and one at Bang Khla, Chachoengsao, on 10 Mar (WNn), Tha Lee, Loei, 11 Mar (TL), three at Rot Fai Park (FS) and one at Khao Yai NP on 13 Mar (JC), at least four at Rot Fai Park 14 Mar (WL), Mae Sot, Tak, 18 Mar (DES), three on Ko Samae San 18 Mar (SSc), Kaeng Krachan 21 Mar (PB), two at Rot Fai Park (DG) and a grey-morph female at Nam Nao on 23 Mar (PW), Sanam Bin Reservoir 24 Mar (DES, JV), Nong Khwai, Hang Dong, 25 Mar (PKs), Kaeng Krachan 26 Mar (WR), Tha Lee 29 Mar (TL), Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan Park 31 Mar (WL), two on Ko Samae San 6 Apr (AJ, ISa, NC), Bang Kruai, Nonthaburi, 9 Apr (KA), and at least 6 on Ko Samae San during 9-11 Apr (WL, MN). There was an exceptionally late record on 14 May at KMUTT, Bangkhunthien (VS).

Oriental Scops Owl (นกเค้าหูยาวเล็ก) Records of possible migrants included Tha Sadet, Prachuap Khiri Khan on 5 Mar (TB), Khon Khaen University 5 Apr (SK, STw), and Pran Buri 30 May (TB).

Spot-bellied Eagle Owl (นกเค้าใหญ่พันธุ์เนปาล) Records in localities outside usual sites included Bang Kama, Ratchaburi, on 10 May (DSy), and Thung Yai Naresuan on 29 May (SPm).

Barred Eagle Owl (นกเค้าใหญ่พันธุ์สุมาตรา) One recorded at 1,000 MASL at Khao Luang NP during 5-8 May (DES, ID, PP).

Spotted Owlet (นกเค้าจุด) Nesting at Dan Khun Thot, Nakhon Ratchasima, on 28 Mar (MS, TR).

Northern Boobook (นกเค้าเหยี่ยวพันธุ์เหนือ) Photographed at Lumpini, Bangkok, on 22 Mar (PM), and Mueang, Udon Thani, on 18 Apr (CR). A bird photographed at Songkhla Nakarin University, Hat Yai, on 16 Mar (RPd) may also be this species.

Hodgson’s Frogmouth (นกปากกบลายดำ) A nest with two fledgelings at Doi Lang on 4 Apr (GB).

Blyth’s Frogmouth (นกปากกบพันธุ์ชวา) At nest on 27 Mar at Sri Phang-nga NP (WY). Recorded at Nam Tok Huai Yang NP during 28-29 Apr (DES).

Grey Nightjar (นกตบยุงภูเขา) Records outside breeding grounds included Naresuan University on 17 Apr (MT, PSt) and two on Ko Samae San on 25 Apr (TTa).

Indian Nightjar (นกตบยุงเล็ก) Incubating eggs on 3 Apr at Rangsit Khlong 8 (SMk).

White-throated Needletail (นกแอ่นใหญ่คอขาว) Five at Hin Lek Fai Hill on 2 Apr (TB).

Silver-backed Needletail (นกแอ่นใหญ่หัวตาดำ) The latest record was two birds in Sa Kaeo on 24 May (NU).

Brown-backed Needletail (นกแอ่นใหญ่หัวตาขาว) At least 10 birds seen on Ko Samui on 29 Mar may have been non-breeding visitors (PB).

Pacific Swift (นกแอ่นตะโพกขาวแถบกว้าง) 30 at Pha Mo I Daeng, Si Saket, on 25 May (TB).

Oriental Dollarbird (นกตะขาบดง) Records outside breeding grounds included Laem Phak Bia on 19 Mar (KA), Sri Nakhon Khuen Khan Park 24 Mar (NU), Rot Fai Park 29 Mar (ER), Khon Kaen University 30 Mar (SK, STw), 10 on Ko Samae San 6 Apr (AJ, ISa, NC) and at least four during 9-11 Apr (WL, MN), and Khon Kaen University on 15 May (SK). 15 seen per day on Ko Man Nai during Mar-Apr, but not in May (AN, JND, PDR).

Ruddy Kingfisher (นกกะเต็นแดง) Passage: Kaeng Krachan on 20 Mar (PB), Khon Kaen University 31 Mar (SK), Ko Man Nai from 3 Apr onwards (AN, JND, PDR), Ko Samui 13 Apr (PB), two on Ko Samae San during 14-15 Apr (SMk, TTa, VP, MPr, RS, VA), Rot Fai Park 22 Apr (DG), Hot, Chiang Mai, 5 May (PJk), and Ko Man Nai 11-12 May (PDR, AJP).

Black-capped Kingfisher (นกกะเต็นหัวดำ) Latest: 20 May at Rot Fai Park (DG).

Common Kingfisher (นกกะเต็นน้อยธรรมดา) Latest: 14 May at Asian Institute of Technology Pathum Thani (RUH).

Blue-banded Kingfisher (นกกะเต็นน้อยแถบอกดำ) A female photographed at Khao Nam Khang NP on 17 May (BR).

Gurney’s Pitta (นกแต้วแล้วท้องดำ) A survey carried out by DNP and BCST found a male and a female in different locations at Khao Pra-Bang Khram on 27 May (MSw).

Hooded Pitta (นกแต้วแล้วอกเขียว) Records outside resident range: Ko Man Nai from 10 Apr onwards (AN, JND, PDR), Sakaerat 20 Apr (PD), Naresuan University on 25 Apr (MT), and two to four birds ringed daily on Ko Man Nai during 2-13 May (PDR, AJP).

Fairy Pitta (นกแต้วแล้วพันธุ์จีน) Single birds ringed on Ko Man Nai on 5, 12, 16 and 18 Apr (AN, JND, PDR). Others were photographed at Queen Sirikit Park (WTn) and Khon Kaen University (SK, STw) on 7 Apr.

Tiger Shrike (นกอีเสือลายเสือ) First noted on 4 Apr on Ko Man Nai (AN) where it was recorded more or less daily throughout the month and peaked at 14 individuals on 15 Apr (AN, JND, PDR). Others included five at Khao Nam Khang NP 19 Apr (ISa, VV, PCc), Naresuan University 25 Apr (MT), Krung Ching Waterfall 26 Apr (WL, PSf, SL), Pak Tho, Ratchaburi, 30 Apr (RJm), Chulalongkorn University 1 May (PH), Kaeng Lawa, Khon Kaen, 2 May (MH), two at Naresuan University (MT, PSt), Khon Kaen University (SK), and a male at Rama IX Park, Bangkok (WL) on 3 May, a female at Rama IX Park 8 May (NPn, WL), Doi Suthep 13 May (TK, AW), up to 10 ringed per day on Ko Man Nai during 2-13 May (PDR, AJP), and Chulalongkorn University 14 May (NECCU).

Brown Shrike (นกอีเสือสีน้ำตาล) Passage dates were noted from 7 Apr onwards on Ko Man Nai (AN, JND, PDR).

Burmese Shrike (นกอีเสือหลังแดง) Queen Sirikit Park on 30 Mar (WTn) and a female on Ko Man Nai on 7 Apr (PDR) were the only records away from the usual site.

Black-naped Oriole (นกขมิ้นท้ายทอยดำ) Latest record of race diffusus: an immature at Rama IX Park on 3 May (WL). Race maculatus: three at Chulalongkorn University on 14 May (SPm) and one at Rot Fai Park on 8 May (NA).

Ashy Drongo (นกแซงแซวสีเทา) Late records of non-breeding visitors belonged to race leucogenis on 2 May at Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan Park (WL, NC, WC) and 8 May on Ko Man Nai (PDR, AJP).

Crow-billed Drongo (นกแซงแซวปากกา) Passage dates spanned from 9 Mar until 13 May on Ko Man Nai (AN, JND, PDR, AJP). Sightings were reported from many localities repeatedly included Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan Park (NU), Khon Kaen University (SK, WSm), Rot Fai Park (SKp), Naresuan University (MT), Ko Samae San (AJ, ISa, NC, CPh, NPp), Kaeng Krachan (PSk), and Rama IX Park (WL).

Black-naped Monarch (นกจับแมลงจุกดำ) The latest record outside resident range was on 3 Apr on Ko Man Nai (AN, JND, PDR).

Black Magpie (นกกาน้อยแถบปีกขาว) The only records outside the well-known site in Khao Pra-Bang Khram WS was at Ton Chi Waterfall, Wang Wiset, Trang, on 28 May; three birds (NCt) and one at Khao Lak Khai, Khao Pra-Bang Khram, on 27 May (ISa, WB).

Eurasian Magpie (นกสาลิกาปากดำ) Three individuals sighted at Doi Lang on 3 Apr (TW).

Rook – a bird first photographed at Kaeng Krachan on 30 Apr (TT) would be the first record for the country if it was presumed a genuine vagrant by the Thai Bird Records Committee.

Yellow-vented Bulbul (นกปรอดหน้านวล) Three along Fang River in Mae Ai, Chiang Mai, on 12 Mar (KSk) and one, also at Mae Ai, on 24 Mar (PDR, AJ) indicated range expansion.

Puff-throated Bulbul (นกปรอดโอ่งเมืองเหนือ) Incubating eggs on 10 Apr at Phu Suan Sai NP (SMk, WO).

Barn Swallow (นกนางแอ่นบ้าน) A nest containing five eggs reported at Mae Ai market, Chiang Mai, on 31 Mar (CN).

Dusky Crag Martin (นกนางแอ่นผาสีคล้ำ) A report of ca. 10 at Pha Mo I Daeng, Si Saket, on 25 May (TB) was a new locality record.

Nepal House Martin (นกนางแอ่นมาตินพันธุ์เนปาล) ca. 350 at Phu Hin Rong Kla on 14 Mar and ca. 200 on 27 Mar (DES).

Red-rumped Swallow (นกนางแอ่นตะโพกแดง) A count of ca. 800 at Bung Boraphet on 2 Mar (NL) were probably passage migrants.

Arctic Leaf Warbler (นกกระจิ๊ดขั้วโลกเหนือ) Passage dates spanned from 7 Mar until 9 May on Ko Man Nai (AN, JND, PDR, AJP).

Kamchatka Leaf Warbler (นกกระจิ๊ดคัมชัตกา) Identified on calls daily during 3-13 May on Ko Man Nai (PDR, AJP). There was also a silent individual agitating to playbacks of this species at Phutthamonthon on 2 May (KA).

Two-barred Leaf Warbler (นกกระจิ๊ดเขียวปีกสองแถบ) Latest: 11 Apr on Ko Samae San (WL, MN).

Oriental Reed Warbler (นกพงใหญ่พันธุ์ญี่ปุ่น) Late dates: 15 May at Khon Kaen University; 6 birds (SK) and 21 May at Bung Boraphet (VP).

Black-browed Reed Warbler (นกพงคิ้วดำ) Passage date was first noted on 13 Apr on Ko Man Nai (AN, JND, PDR). Up to 6 daily on Ko Man Nai during 2-13 May (PDR, AJP). Still being recorded beyond the end of May. A bird ringed on Ko Man Nai on 4 May was recaptured on 2 Jun at Hakam-po Research Station in Taeanhaean National Park, Wonbuk-myeon, Taean-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, Rep. of Korea (TO/MBCK).

Blunt-winged Warbler (นกพงนาพันธุ์จีน) Retrapped at Nam Kham Nature Reserve on 16, 18 and 20 Mar (WB).

Paddyfield Warbler (นกพงนาหิมาลัย) Ringed at Nam Kham Nature Reserve on 16 Mar (WB) and last seen on 14 Apr (AJ).

Pallas’s Grasshopper Warbler (นกพงตั๊กแตนท้ายทอยสีเทา) First recorded during passage on 12 Apr on Ko Man Nai (AJP, PDR). Up to 10 daily on Ko Man Nai during 2-13 May (PDR, AJP). Latest: 14 May in Samut Prakan (DL).

Large Scimitar Babbler (นกระวังไพรปากยาว) A report of two birds at Pran Buri Dam on 8 Mar (TB) was outside known localities.

Black-throated Babbler (นกกินแมลงคอดำ) Records outside known localities of this lowland specialist were two birds at Hin Khor Kwang, Krabi, on 27 May (ISa, WB), and Ton Chai Waterfall, Ao Tong, Trang, on 28 May (HBWRS).

Black-browed Fulvetta (นกมุ่นรกคิ้วดำ) Two at Khao Soi Dao on 26 Apr (DES, ID).

White’s Thrush (นกเดินดงลายเสือใหญ่) Single birds at Khao Yai NP on 9 Mar (DB) and Naresuan University on 17 Apr (MT, PSt) were presumed to be this species rather than Scaly Thrush (นกเดินดงลายเสือ) as they were more likely non-breeding visitors.

Dark-sided Thrush (นกเดินดงเล็กปากยาว) Records outside Northern Thailand included Khao Soi Dao WS on 26 Apr (DES, ID) and Phu Suan Sai NP on 21 May (TTh).

Grey-sided Thrush (นกเดินดงอกเทา) 6 at Mae Wong NP on 1 Mar (NL) and at least one at Kaeng Krachan on 21 Apr (SKk).

Eyebrowed Thrush (นกเดินดงสีคล้ำ) Presumed passage migrants were reported from Mae Wong NP on 1 Mar; ca. 90 birds (NL) as well as many other localities such as Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan Park (WL), Rot Fai Park (SKp, DG), Khon Kaen University (SK, STw), Dan Khun Thot, Nakhon Ratchasima (TR, MS), Phu Foi Lom, Udon Thani (PF), Bang Kruai, Nonthaburi (KA), Ko Samae San (WL, MN, NC, CPp, AJ, NPn), and Khao Nam Khang NP (WL, PSf, SLk). The latest date was 12 May on Ko Man Nai (PDR, AJP).

Female: Many on Ko Samae San from 18 Mar to 24 Apr (SSc, EA, WL, MN, NC, AJ, CPp, NPn), a female on Ko Man Nai on 2 Apr (PDR), singles at Rot Fai Park from 25 Mar to 5 Apr (KA, WTn, SKp), Laem Phak Bia on 28 Mar (MN), Khon Kaen University 30 Mar (SK, STw), and Phu Foi Lom, Udon Thani, 8 Apr (PF).

Himalayan Bluetail (นกเขนน้อยพันธุ์หิมาลัย) and Red-flanked Bluetail (นกเขนน้อยข้างสีส้มคิ้วขาว) A female of either species at Doi Lang on 10 Apr (TSd) was the latest record for the season.

Siberian Blue Robin (นกเขนน้อยไซบีเรีย) Passage dates spanned from at least 7 Mar until 12 May on Ko Man Nai (AJP, PDR). A 1st-year female on the island on 11 Apr was ringed on 13 Aug 2015 at Tenguyama, Shiragami, Matsumae-cho, Matsumae-gun, Hokkaido (HH, JY, MSa, KO, NK/BMRCYI).

Bluethroat (นกคอมรกต) Latest: 20 Mar at Pak Phli; three birds (WL, ISa, AJ/BCST).

Siberian Rubythroat (นกคอทับทิม) Latest: 12 May on Ko Man Nai (AJP, PDR).

Firethroat – the male at Nam Kham Nature Reserve was last seen on 21 Apr (PSf).

Yellow-rumped Flycatcher (นกจับแมลงตะโพกเหลือง) Records spanned from 24 Mar at Khon Kaen University; a female (SK) to 10 May at Doi Suthep (TK, AW). 139 ringed on Ko Man Nai from 1 Apr-8 May.

Narcissus Flycatcher (นกจับแมลงคิ้วเหลือง) Thai Prachan NP on 27 Mar (NPs), Chatuchak, Bangkok (JP) and Khao Khieo-Khao Chumphu on 29 Mar (SKr), many on Ko Samae San from 30 Mar to 7 May (EA, AJ, ISa, NC, WL, MN, KA), Nong Ya Plong, Phetchaburi, on 31 Mar (many obervers), five males and two females ringed on Ko Man Nai during 1-7 April (AN, JND, PDR), Khon Kaen University on 8 Apr (CR, SK, STw), Queen Sirikit Park 9 Apr (TV, AKp), and Panya Intara Village, Bangkok, 23 Apr (SYp). All records except on Ko Samae San and Ko Man Nai were males.

Green-backed Flycatcher (นกจับแมลงหลังเขียว) Male at Wang Lung Waterfall, Nakhon Si Thammarat, on 19 Mar (PCp), several each day on Ko Samae San during 9-26 Apr (WL, MN, SMk, TTa, VP, MPr, RS, VA), male at Khon Kaen University on 10 Apr (TI), 9 males and 7 females ringed during 10-17 Apr on Ko Man Nai (AN, JND, PDR), Bala, Narathiwat, on 12 Apr (PCc), male at Kaeng Krachan 13 Apr (KA, CPp), female at Naresuan University 28 Apr (MT), female at Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan Park 2 May (NC, WL, WC), Ko Man Nai 6, 7 and 13 May (PDR, AJP).

Mugimaki Flycatcher (นกจับแมลงดำอกสีส้ม) Records spanned from 26 Mar at Bang Kruai, Nonthaburi; a female (KA) until 7 May on Ko Samae San (NC). Other localities included Dan Khun Thot, Nakhon Ratchasima (MS, TR), Rot Fai and Queen Sirikit Parks (DG, WTn), Phutthamonthon (KA), Chulalongkorn University (SPm), Khao Khor Hong, Hat Yai (BR), Sadao, Songkhla (JB), Kasetsart University, Bangkhen (CCc), Phu Foi Lom, Udon Thani (PF), Ko Man Nai (PDR, WL, MN), and Thaleban NP (BD).

Taiga Flycatcher (นกจับแมลงคอแดง) Latest: 30 Apr at Nam Nao NP (WSm).

White-throated Rockthrush (นกกระเบื้องคอขาว) At least five at Sakaerat (RA) and a female on Ko Samae San on 18 Mar (SSc), a male on Ko Samae San pier on 10 Apr (MN), and Ko Man Nai during 13-14 Apr (PDR).

Eastern Stonechat (นกยอดหญ้าหัวดำ) Latest: 14 May at Chachoengsao (PV).

Brown-throated Sunbird (นกกินปลีคอสีน้ำตาล) Two in Phayao on 7 Mar (SJk) indicated range expansion.

Asian Golden Weaver (นกกระจาบทอง) An individual photographed at Hat Yai Water Treatment Plant on 29 Apr (WL, PSf, SLk) might be an escapee.

Red Avadavat (นกกระติ๊ดแดง) A report of ca. 30 at Mae Sot, Tak, on 18 Mar (DG) was outside known range.

Forest Wagtail (นกเด้าลมดง) Latest: 2 May at Phutthamonthon (KA).

Eastern Yellow Wagtail (นกเด้าลมเหลือง) Latest: 29 Apr at Hat Yai Water Treatment Plant; two birds with one belonging to the nominate race (WL, PSf, SLk).

Grey Wagtail (นกเด้าลมหลังเทา) Latest: 6 Apr at Sri Phang-nga NP (NU).

White Wagtail (นกอุ้มบาตร) Race ocularis photographed at Khon Kaen University on 15 Mar (SK). Latest: 22 Mar in Chiang Mai; 2 birds (TW).

Richard’s Pipit (นกเด้าดินทุ่งใหญ่) Latest: 29 Apr at Pran Buri Dam (TB).

Olive-backed Pipit (นกเด้าดินสวน) Latest: 11 Apr at Phutthamonthon; two birds (TW).

Red-throated Pipit (นกเด้าดินอกแดง) Latest: 29 Mar at Huai Mai Teng Reservoir (WL).

Rosy Pipit (นกเด้าดินอกสีชมพู) Two at Tha Ton, Chiang Mai, on 16 Mar (AJ) and two at Mae Ai, Chiang Mai, on 24 Mar (PDR, AJ).

Common Rosefinch (นกจาบปีกอ่อนสีกุหลาบ) Latest: 7 Apr at Doi Angkhang (EF).

Yellow-breasted Bunting (นกจาบปีกอ่อนอกเหลือง) ca. 50 at Mae Ai, Chiang Mai, on 9 Mar (TR, MS) and at least 50 at Thung Kalo, Uttaradit, on 12 Mar (TNg). A count of 183 was made at Mae Ai on 13 Mar (TSd, KSk, TY). At Thung Kalo the total number well exceeded 300 on 2 Apr (WL, MN). Last seen at Mae Ai on 14 Apr; at least 60 (AJ).

Black-headed Bunting (นกจาบปีกอ่อนหัวดำ) At least five at Mae Ai, Chiang Mai, on 9 Mar (TR, MS), over 6 individuals were seen on 16 Mar (AJ). A female remained until at least 14 Apr (AJ).

Red-headed Bunting (นกจาบปีกอ่อนหัวแดง) At least one bird, a male, at Mae Ai, Chiang Mai, on 9 Mar (TR, MS) was seen until at least 13 Mar (TSd, KSk, TY).
